Redstate/Erickson: Send Rocksalt to Snowe
In what has the be the dumbest protest against a member of their own party, RedState, championed by Erick Erickson, is sending rocksalt to Senator Snowe for her support of the Health Care Bill. “Why?” you might ask, well it is simple:

Olympia Snowe has sold out the country. Having been banished to our world after Aslan chased her out of Narnia, Snowe is intent on corrupting this place too.So we should melt her.
What melts snow? Rock salt.
I’m going to ship this 5 pound bag of rock salt to her office in Maine. It’s only $3.00. You should join me.
It is a visible demonstration of our contempt for her.
Well, first off, I am hoping he doesn’t think she is a witch and plans on melting her (like in the Wizard of Oz).
Snowe is a unique politician. She is unique because she is… Bipartisan. Yes, she will cross partisan lines and vote for what she believes is right. Because of this, the right wing want to smear her.
I think Snowe did a great thing voting for the Health Care bill. If you have a moment, send her a message via her website and let her know you approve of her vote! Remember, the bill is not finalized. She will have to vote for this bill in the full senate! Let her know that we appreciate her vote and should continue to vote for it in the future.

I must say that I have formed a strong opinion about Mr. Erickson after reading his ridiculous, yet humorous writings.
He is about as useless as Limbaugh. The biggest difference between the two is that Rush is an entertainer; Erick actually holds an elected position. Erick is supposed to serve the city of Macon as a member of the city council by facing the challenges of today and preparing for those of tomorrow. However, working with other people to improve the community that he was elected to represent is not in his game plan; no sir. Instead, he cannot find the time beyond insulting President Obama and writing factually incorrect information to deceive those who are misinformed. He would rather spend his time introducing words of hatred instead of proposals to improve the quality of life in Macon; something that the city has needed for over thirty-years.
I would like to see the people of Macon hold Erick accountable for his lack of productive work and unethical prattle by organizing to spearhead his re-election attempt.
” Having been banished to our world after Aslan chased her out of Narnia, ”
Can someone please tell me what this gibberish means?
Erick [the Redstate] is a right-wing ideologue. He should take notice of the following (from ThinkProgress’ Wonk Room):
But Bruce Bartlett — former economic adviser to President Reagan and a Treasury Official under President Bush Sr. — hasn’t gone down that road and thinks that the Republican party “no longer has a credible economic policy.” He’s particularly put off that the party “continues to advocate tax cuts even though the recent Bush tax cuts led to only mediocre economic growth and huge deficits.”
“So much of what passes for conservatism today is just pure partisan opposition,” Bartlett has said. “What remains is a caricature — that there is no problem that more and bigger tax cuts won’t solve.”

Well said Sun!
Rick – he’s calling “Snowe” the “Ice Queen” from Narnia. I’m guessing. It’s truly twisted logic and makes my brain hurt.
i read an article on redstate and thought i’d leave a comment. i registered, confirmed by email address, etc etc etc, and when i hit the submit comment button, i got a message telling me that i hadn’t been registered “long enough” to leave a comment. so, what, do the people who run the site need to qualify people first before they’re allowed to share their thoughts? aren’t these the people that yell the loudest about free speech? it’s not really surprising to me that this site would pull a useless stunt like this.
I would really like to think that republicans can support their representatives when they do something smart like speak the truth, vote for what is best, and act in the best interests of the country. Republicans need to stop being uninformed viewers of Fox News and listen to other opinions and read a wider variety of points of view. I respect republicans who do what is right and I respect democrats when they do the same.
Tell me what you're thinking...
